It is obligatory to perform prayers five times a day. In addition to the obligatory prayers, there are Farj, sunnat and nafl prayers at all times. There are differences of opinion regarding the rak'ah of prayers. The details of what should be read at least are given:
Fajr prayers :First two rak'ats of sunnat and then two rak'ats are Farj prayers.
Zohar prayers :The first four rak'ats are sunnat. Then four rak'ats Farj and then two rak'ats are sunnat. It is better to read these ten rak'ats. Some also perform the last two rak'ats of nafl prayers. As such, the zohar prayers are performed in 12 rak'ats.
Asar prayers :It is farj to read four rak'ats. Some people perform four rak'ats of sunnat prayers before the farj.
Magrib prayers :The first three rak'ats are farj. Then two rak'ats are sunnat. Some people perform two rak'ats of nafl after sunnat.
Esha prayers :Four rak'ats are Farj. Then two rak'ats are sunnat. Then three rak'ats of Vitr. It is obligatory to recite Vitr. Many people perform four rak'ats of sunnat before farj and two rak'ats of nafl prayers after vitr. Fajr 4 rak'ats to the entire Muslim Ummah; Johar 10 rak'ats; Care must be taken to perform Asr 4 rak'ats, Maghrib 5 rak'ats and Isha 9 rak'ats properly.
