The search for endangered species of ants in Bangladesh is spreading all over the world

Harvard researcher Waring Tribal has found a terrifying species of ants in Bangladesh.  The name of this species of ant is 'Clonal Rider Ant'.  Ants have a tendency to spread naturally and have harmful behaviors.  This species of ants has spread from Bangladesh to the world.

A report has been published in the Harvard Gazette, the official news site of Harvard University.  Details of the research were also published in Biology Letters in June 2020.

It is known that the size of the clonal rider ant is 2 mm.  These ants are eyeless and rich in stings.  It has no queen.  They are born when the embryos of worker ants grow up without fertilization.

Most ants in the world are harmful species capable of rapid reproduction.  Several of these species have spread around the world through various human activities.  Waring thinks it is possible to control the spread if we know the details about their instinctive behavior.

Before this variety was identified in Bangladesh, Professor Daniel J.C.  While working with Mackenzie in Kronaur's lab, they also identified an ant in India.  They thought it was a clonal rider at first.  But later you realize that the species is different.  Then they analyzed the genetic data found in the lab and estimated that they could have the original species around 1,240 miles away.

Waring and Mackenzie arrived in Bangladesh in October 2014.  A German NGO helps them.  No one has ever identified such ants in Bangladesh before.  However, Waring came to this country and ran from village to village like a lot of bets.

In an article published in June, Waring wrote, "Somehow I was able to go back to the lab with the ants and unravel the gene design."  After researching in various ways, I became sure that they were born in Bangladesh.
